Honey Gingerbreads Step by Step:
You will need:
500g of plain flour
200g of icing sugar
120g of butter
5 tablespoons of honey
1 or 2 tablespoons of cocoa (depending on how dark the dough you want)
2 teaspoons gingerbread spices
1 teaspoon of gingerbread powder (optional)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
Preparation Of Honey Gingerbreads:
- Make a smooth and supple dough from all the ingredients mentioned above, with your hands. Wrap it in cling film or a freezer bag and let it rest in the fridge for at least 12 hours.
- Lightly sprinkle your work surface with plain flour. Then roll out the dough at least 4 mm thick with a roller - preferably over cling film. (Be careful not to make the dough too thin, the gingerbreads will be dry and break after baking.)
- Cut out different shapes according to your imagination and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Preheat the oven to 175 ° C and bake the gingerbread in a hot oven. Keep an eye on them; they are ready in just a few minutes (they will start to smell lovely and distinctive). After you have removed them from the oven, spread them with a beaten egg, while they are still hot, so you will make them shine beautifully.

How To Mix Gingerbread Spices At Home
You can get ready made gingerbread seasonings , usually in larger stores, but why not try mixing your version according to your own taste? Plus, it's fun, and smells wonderful!
All you need is ground cinnamon, some cloves, anise and star anise, lemon peel; you can add dried ginger, a ball of fresh spices or a pinch of ground black pepper or chilli. If you do not have ground spices, use a coffee grinder, you can easily do it yourself. Or a spice mortar will suffice.
